Job Title: Lead Carpenter

Job Summary: As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of carpentry work on construction sites. You will lead a team of carpenters, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your expertise in carpentry techniques, construction materials, and project management will be essential in delivering high-quality results.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to plan and schedule carpentry work.
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials       and equipment.

  1. Carpentry Work:
    • Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, installing windows and doors,      building stairs, and finishing.
    • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to carpentry work on-site.

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor carpentry team members, including apprentices and journeymen.
    • Delegate tasks and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe       work environment.

  1. Quality Control:
    • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations.
    • Address any deficiencies or errors promptly and implement corrective measures as necessary.

  1. Budget Management:
    • Monitor project expenses and resource utilization to stay within budget constraints.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies to maximize project profitability.

  1. Client Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to address       concerns and provide updates on project progress.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and resolving       any issues in a timely manner.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, with at least [2] years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Certification or training in carpentry or construction management is a plus, not required.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional certification or vocational training in carpentry or construction      management is preferred, not required.


Working Conditions:

  • This position requires working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights may be required.
  • Flexible hours and occasional weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.


Compensation:

  • Hourly Position 34-40 hours per week. OT available if needed.
  • $33 - $40 per hour based on experience.
  • PTO and Holiday Pay
  • Company Vehicle and gas card potential

Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter

Job Summary: As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing skilled carpentry work independently or as part of a team. Your expertise in carpentry techniques and construction materials will be essential in contributing to the successful completion of various construction projects.


Responsibilities:

  1. Carpentry Work:
    • Execute skilled carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors and windows, building stairs, and finishing work.
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate       implementation of project requirements.
    • Utilize carpentry tools and equipment proficiently to achieve high-quality results.

  1. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and quality specifications.
    • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns on-site.

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Inspect work-in-progress and completed projects to verify adherence to quality standards.
    • Address any deficiencies or errors promptly and collaborate with supervisors or       foremen to implement corrective measures.

  1. Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other carpenters, tradespeople, and project       stakeholders to achieve project goals.
    • Follow instructions from lead carpenters or supervisors and contribute to the       overall success of the team.

  1. Material Management:
    • Assist in the procurement and handling of construction materials, ensuring       proper storage and organization.
    • Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies in materials to supervisors.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time sheets, work orders,       and project progress reports.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, typically acquired through completion of an      apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and      standing for extended periods.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or vocational training is preferred, not required.


Working Conditions:

  • This position typically involves working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Physical demands may include lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working      at heights.
  • Flexible hours and occasional weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.


Compensation:

  • Hourly Position 34-40 hours per week. OT available if needed.
  • $27 - $34 per hour based on experience.
  • PTO and Holiday Pay
